Music and Radio are two of my biggest passions and I am lucky to be able to combine both in my profession. I have been a professional on air personality for close to a quarter of a century and owe this to being introduced to music at a young age. As a boy I would search the late nite AM airwaves for signals from distant cities and can't believe that I am now one of the radio voices I heard. My hobbies are playing the guitar, poker, sports and gardening.

Thompson Family Citywide Food Drive is this Saturday
Saturday is going to be a very charitable day, even by Butte's generous standards. As we get ready for the big Distribution Day of the annual Butte Cares/Harrington Pepsi Clothing Drive, we certainly don't want to forget about another huge, annual giving event that will be going on at the same time. I am talking about, of course, the annual Thompson Family Food Drive.
Help needed in preparation for Saturday’s Clothing Drive Distribution
How do you fold a mountain of clothes? Well, logic would state that one shirt at a time would be the best and most effective way. Let me tell you, a literal mountain of clothes has been dropped off at the final collection point of the annual Harrington Pepsi/Butte Cares Clothing Drive, the old Stage/Events Center are in the south end of the Butte Plaza Mall, and it is going to take a lot of sorting, folding and organizing to get things ready for Saturday's distribution. Folding one shirt at a time will go a lot smoother and faster if there are many hands at work.
Adopt-A-Family application deadline looming
The Christmas Season in the Mining City is synonymous with the Uptown Christmas Stroll, the extensive Uptown decorations, the old Meaderville Christmas Display now at home just off Grand Avenue at the Racetrack VFD and, of course, gift giving with friends and family. Unfortunately, for many here Butte the Christmas Season means a tight or nonexistent budget being stretched to its' maximum with higher energy bills, rising food costs and winter clothing.
30 Orediggers land on Daktronics NAIA National Honor Roll
The Montana Tech Orediggers fall athletic programs have experienced an incredible run of success on the gridiron, the court, and on the courses. Their runs, however, are not limited to the site of competition or list of all-conference honorees. Montana Tech has achieved something truly to be proud of.
Clothing Drive wraps up Saturday with Distribution Day at Butte Plaza Mall
This Saturday is the big day as far as the annual Harrington Pepsi/Butte Cares Helping Hands Clothing Drive goes. Saturday, the drive wraps up with "Distribution Day" as all of the clothes and winter gear that has been collected over the last month is given away, but the day has grown to be a lot more.
“Our Butte Holiday” set for Saturday, 12/14 at the Mother Lode Theater
A beloved Butte Holiday tradition continues with the Mother Lode Theater and the help of some of Southwest Montana's most talented young vocalists. Oh, and you are more than welcome to join in and sing along. The Butte Symphony Series continues with "Our Butte Holiday!" featuring members of the Butte High School and Anaconda High School Chorales as well as the Mining City Chorale Union presenting holiday classics and newer Christmas songs that will have you singing along as well.
Annual Lutefisk Dinner set for December 7th at Gold Hill Lutheran Church
For many of us the Holiday Season means decorations, Christmas Carols and treats such as hot cocoa, cookies and gingerbread men. For others, particularly those of Scandinavian descent, the holidays mean it's time to enjoy lutefisk. Enjoy may or may not be the correct term but in any case, the Daughters of Norway and the Gold Hill Lutheran Church are excited to present the Annual Lutefisk or Swedish Meatball Dinner on Saturday, December 7th taking place at the Church at 934 Placer Street.

Believe in Butte, not the bullsh%t
I don't even know what the post or posts were saying and, to be honest, I'm not going to waste time looking for them or even giving them page views. It doesn't matter. They're posts from an imposter. All I saw was what my friend, Jon Wick, put on Facebook.
Looking for pizza for the Cat/Griz game? Here are some can’t miss places in Butte
At least in my household, pizza is as important part of the Cat/Griz game as chips, beer and refreshments. With the undefeated Bobcats represented by hometown hero Tommy Mellott and hosting the game in Bozman, the stakes are high, and tickets are hard to come by. If you're like many of us who will be watching the game from home here in Butte, here are a few recommendations for some of our town's best pizza for you and your guests to enjoy.
