Music and Radio are two of my biggest passions and I am lucky to be able to combine both in my profession. I have been a professional on air personality for close to a quarter of a century and owe this to being introduced to music at a young age. As a boy I would search the late nite AM airwaves for signals from distant cities and can't believe that I am now one of the radio voices I heard. Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Butte's Adult Prom is coming to the Star Lanes Event Center on Saturday, April 6th, and a big part of the evening's fundraising efforts are the incredible raffle baskets. The baskets have been put together and again this year there are some fantastic items, goods and services included thanks to the generosity of many local businesses and private donors.
American Legion Baseball Bingo Fundraiser Friday at KC
This Friday, you can help get the season out to a good start and have a lot of fun in the process by attending the American Legion Baseball bingo fundraiser that's taking place at the Knights of Columbus Hall at 224 W. Park Street in Uptown Butte. Doors open at 6pm and a $30 Bingo Pack will get you 10 games of bingo with 3 cards per game along with 10 tickets for door prize drawings.
Here is the St. Patrick’s Day Parade Route and a few safety tips
The 2024 St. Patrick's Day Parade is scheduled for a 12pm start. The parade route will begin at the corner of Arizona and Granite, it will proceed west on Granite Street to Montana, head south on Montana to Park St., and then finally go east on Park St. towards Arizona where the parade will commence.

A new scholarship for senior softball players in Butte has been announced by Mike and Stacy Bauer of Play2WIN. Scholarship applications are available in the guidance counselor's office at either high school and must be postmarked by March 31. Scholarship recipients will be announced May 6 during the Copper City Softball Opening Day Ceremony.
Orediggers to host Wayland Baptist in NAIA first round. Who is Wayland Baptist?
The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced that the Orediggers of Montana Tech would be one of the 16 host sites where the first and second-round games of the National Championship, presented by Ballogy, would be played. Montana Tech also hosted first and second-round games a year ago, the first time in school history. The Orediggers are the No. 3 seed in the Naismith Quadrant and will play the 14th seed Pioneers from Wayland Baptist. The other matchup in Butte has the 11th-seeded Warriors of Lewis Clark State taking on the 6-seed Hope International (California).
