7 Common Things Montana Goodwill Will Easily Turn Away
Holidays are just around the corner and there is a good chance that you will be adding more clothes, toys, tools, furniture, etc. to the house. It's only after the holidays that some realize they probably didn't need to add to half of those things. So we go into a splurge. Trying to not feel guilty about adding to the things we already had so much of.
This is a great time to donate some of those items. I have combined a list of 7 things Goodwill will NOT accept. You can save yourself the hassle of loading these things up just to be told, "sorry we can't accept that".
7 THINGS GOODWILL WON'T ACCEPT
Broken kids toys
- If your kid won't play with it, I'm guessing someone else's kiddo doesn't want to either.
Bean bag chairs
- As fun as these are, unfortunately Goodwill isn't going to take it off your hands.
Ammo
- Nope, nope, and nope. They also wont accept any firearms, even if you received one as part of the divorce agreement.
TV's
- More specifically the old tube tv's you typically used to sit in front of at your grandparent's house
Used Cleaning Items
- Anything open, even if you only used a little. It's a no go
Used Bedroom Furniture
- Mattress
- Pillows
- Your uncle's old water bed
Construction Debris
- Bricks, old paint, left over caulking, etc. These are not going to be accepted, you'll have to dispose of them properly somewhere else.
There are things on this list you could post on social media and perhaps a neighbor or family in need could use. If you have something still in good condition with a little life left, don't just toss it, there could be someone looking for just the item you don't need.
