Illinois Mayor Lost A Wager: Keeps His Word By Wearing A Bobcat Hat

With our very own Montana State Bobcats football team winning the National championship, fans across Montana have been celebrating ever since. And you can bet that is not fading anytime soon. The FCS National Championship game was one for the history books and easily one of the most thrilling matchups many fans have ever watched.

Both teams left everything on the field, and the final score reflected just how good a match-up they were on that national stage.

One of the more entertaining wagers tied to this game involved two mayors. It turned a high stakes football game into a lighthearted moment between cities miles apart. Following the Bobcats’ win, the town of Normal, Illinois shared a social media post with proof of debt paid. In the post, Mayor Chris Koos followed through on a friendly wager with former Bozeman Mayor Terry Cunningham. During the latest city council meeting, Mayor Koos wore a Bobcats hat.
