1923

With Harrison Ford sightings all over town over the last week or so and production crews set up in front of Butte's Front Street Station, it's really no secret that the "Yellowstone" television series prequel, "1923" is hard at work here in the Mining City.

1923 is back filming in Butte and one of it didn't take long for one of its big stars to show up in town and Harrison Ford did just that. Of course, Ford is synonymous with the names Han Solo, Indiana Jones and to an extent, Dr. Richard Kimble. Of course, with 1923 returning to film in Butte seeing Harrison Ford is nothing new but seeing him enjoying one of our favorite local restaurants is something special. We can credit this win to the whole town, and that comes directly from one of the people who won it. Paramount's "1923", which used the Mining City as a primary shooting location, won the 2023 Location Managers Guild International's award for Outstanding Location in a Period Television Series over the weekend, beating strong competition from Peaky Blinders, Perry Mason, SEE and Westworld.

This weekend saw the premiere of the greatly anticipated ‘Yellowstone’ prequel ‘1923’. The third installment focuses on the Dutton Family post-World War I, dealing with historic drought, Prohibition, and the beginning of the Great Depression.

I think it’s safe to say that the most talked about surname in America today, is Dutton. The Yellowstone brand is incredibly popular and only seems to be gaining momentum.
