Butte fundraisers

This Saturday from 11am to 1pm the great kids from our local 4-H will be manning the grill and serving the masses lunch for only a quarter at Murdoch's, 3939 Harrison Avenue, and they will also be the beneficiaries of this tremendous fundraiser. The kids will also be holding a bake sale on site, so you won't have to worry about dessert either.

Join SPIRIT Homes of Butte on Saturday, May 3rd at the Butte Elks Lodge for a one-of-a-kind evening combining community fun, musical bingo, and an inspiring feat of strength — all to support Butte SPIRIT Homes and their mission to provide transitional housing for individuals in early recovery from addiction.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Butte changes lives. Many of you reading this have been a part of this organization, be it as a "big" or a "little". You will be hard-pressed to find anyone who has not at least witnessed the incredible work this organization does in our community. They are asking you to consider saying "yes" back to them and they've got a fun way to help them raise critical funds.

The 17th Annual "Connecting for the Cancer Cure" charity golf scramble and cornhole tournament is set for Saturday, September 14th. Over the last 16 years, this fundraiser has raised over $200,000 for the St. James Cancer Center and its patients and created the first ever Cancer Center Endowment Fund at St. James. The fundraiser has helped create a consultation room for patient privacy, it has helped kickstart Southwest Montana's only lymphedema program, has helped to bring mobile mammography to Southwest Montana and has helped countless cancer patients in their time of need. If you are interested in being a sponsor of this event, several opportunities available for both individuals and businesses.

As far as local charitable organizations go, you won't find any better than Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Butte and when it comes to local car shows and concerts along with a few of the area's best food trucks and a trailer full of ice-cold beverages, well, you're not going to top Rhythm and Brews. It only stands to reason that this year's event is going to be one of the best in its' short history as the date has been set, the Original Mineyard has been reserved and now the musical lineup has been announced.

This Thursday through Sunday, The Elks Lodge at 206 W. Galena in Uptown Butte is featuring some homegrown entertainment and a pair of fundraisers for a couple of fantastic local organizations along with Sunday Funday Bingo.
