Butte shopping

As the holiday season approaches, there's a reminder that Montanans love their local shops. A day dedicated to celebrating them is just around the corner.

Which is why, like a strange monolith in the Nevada desert, a sign appeared on the 300 block of East Park Street and is raising questions. Something pretty cool could be coming. But are they serious?

This new shopping center is definitely needed as hundreds of thousands of dollars annually leaves our local economy to markets just down the road. Markets that have a Costco or an Old Navy. A Famous Footwear or a Ross'. Even chain restaurants like Five Guys or Olive Garden, you would think, would experience great success here in Butte. Which ones do you want to see come to town?
