Our neighbors in the Smelter City are gearing up for another Oktoberfest celebration and it's coming your way on Saturday, October 7. Discover Anaconda along with the folks from the Copper Village Museum and Arts Center have joined forces to put on what is going to be a fantastic celebration of food, music and, of course, beer.

Stop by to learn about their programs, take a tour and enjoy snacks and beverages. The evening will also feature a presentation from architects on upcoming projects.

The Open Theatre is now accepting registration for a SUMMER MUSICAL THEATRE WORKSHOP which will be held in Anaconda from July 10 to July 21 with a performance on Friday the 21st at noon.

The OPEN THEATRE PROJECT in conjunction with The Copper Village Museum and Ars Center will be presenting a free Theatre For Young Audiences Performance on April 1st. The production, ANANSI, THE CLEVER SPIDER will be presented at 1:00 in the Anaconda Jr. Sr High School Little Theatre.

The Copper Village Museum and Arts Center in Anaconda has an opportunity for aspiring young actors and actresses to hone their crafts with another upcoming production.

Exactly one week from Thanksgiving, on December 1st, women in the surrounding area will have the chance to enjoy a post "season of giving" treat! That's when Ladies Night Out will take place at the Anaconda Elks Lodge at 223 Main Street! The Copper Village Museum and Arts Center annually hosts the event to raise funds for their non-profit organization. Festivities begin at 6 p.m. with wine and appetizers, followed by a LIVE auction at 7 p.m. All attendees are asked to bring a beautiful, unique, or one-of-a-kind holiday ornament or gift as part of admission, along with a 10-dollar entrance fee. All ornaments and gifts provided will be part of an exchange during the event.

For over 25 years, the center has been hosting Oktoberfest and has teamed up with Discover Anaconda to let the community know how grateful they are for their support over the years. The area is rich in history and nationalities and is celebrated as such. Organized by Copper Village Director Shannon Warner, Teah Fuller of Discover Anaconda, and countless hardworking staff members and volunteers, Oktoberfest will begin at 9 am on October 8th at the center with the Brewfest in Friendship Park (adjacent to the center) at 2 pm. Six breweries from Montana will serve beverages, with a stein hoisting, lederhosen competition, and more on tap. A golf tournament in correlation with the event will also take place at the Old Works Gold Course on October 8th.
