Then all joking aside, and just like that, within months, on March 25th, everything tragically changed. The dynamics of what was once the Foo Fighters came to a halt as news of the passing of 50-year-old drummer Taylor Hawkins, stunned and saddened the music world. Foo Fighters were set to perform in Bogota, Columbia, where Hawkins succumbed to a drug-related cardiovascular collapse. From that moment on, the grieving process began for bandmates, family members, friends, and countless fans. Things would never be the same for the band, as Foo Fighters' concerts were instantly canceled across the globe, including their scheduled stop at Big Sky. It was adamantly the scenario. Foo Fighters would not be making a trip to Montana, and even if they did, it wouldn't be the same without Taylor!

Music enthusiasts, there are many reasons to rock out! The upcoming event, "Rock the Pit", is by far one of the most important reasons to do just that! As provided by All Events and The Butte Elks Lodge, "Rock the Pit", October 8th at the Butte Elks Lodge, is a benefit dedicated to the memory of Perry Schelin, a local resident and musician who passed away in January after succumbing to brain cancer.
