Eight food trucks, two hours of live music, and a patch of grass in Emma Park — Butte's summer lunch series is going out on a high note this week.

Saturday, August 24th there will be a benefit/fundraiser at the McQueen Athletic Club at 3250 Hecla from 5 until 9pm. There will be a potluck dinner a silent auction and live music with Ken Rich. The Butte Elks Lodge #240 invites you to join them for a couple of fun weekend events that they have on the calendar for this Friday and Saturday nights.

This Thursday through Sunday, The Elks Lodge at 206 W. Galena in Uptown Butte is featuring some homegrown entertainment and a pair of fundraisers for a couple of fantastic local organizations along with Sunday Funday Bingo.

The Elks Lodge at 206 W. Galena has posted their spring schedule of events and it is fair to say that the place is going to be hopping in early 2024.

One of the great things about Southwest Montana is that when an event starts growing, you can count on it to keep growing. Heck, we've turned St. Patrick's Day into a full weekend even during the years it falls on a Tuesday or Wednesday. This year, the Uptown Christmas Stroll gets underway at the Courthouse and while there will be music and dancing in the rotunda, there will be a lot of other choices for you to enjoy tonight. Let's take a look at what's happening musically over the next couple of days in our area.

In a town that has gained worldwide notoriety for its celebrations and parties, it is only fitting that summer be sent off in a style befitting of Montana's "Festival City". This Friday night is the "Fall Fling" taking place outside of the Elks Lodge on Galena Street adjacent to Headframe Spirits from 6pm until 10pm. And quite the party is planned.

Multitalented multi-instrumentalist Ken Rich will be performing Wednesday at Lunch in the Park at Emma Park from 11:30 to 1:30 and you can again expect food trucks, kids activities and a lot of fun.

After an incredible Dinner in the Park with the Butte Symphony last week, Lunch in the Park at Emma Park went back to its regular 11:30 to 1:30 hours on Wednesday and the multitalented Fuzzy B kept the hungry crowd entertained on a beautiful Uptown afternoon at Emma Park.

There is not a better way to pregame the Montana Folk Festival which gets underway Friday in Uptown Butte than with Music on Main this Thursday with the Ken Rich Band. Indeed while the festival is renowned for bringing in world class entertainers from around the globe, one can argue that the Ken Rich Band, born and bred right here in Butte, Montana, belongs on the world stage as well.
