Montana Tech's men's basketball team remained among the top 25 teams in the NAIA, sitting at No. 21 in the latest biweekly coaches' poll, announced by the national office Wednesday. The regular-season Frontier Conference champions carry a 22-6 record into the postseason after going 2-2 in the final two weeks of the schedule.

Montana Tech Basketball is gearing up for an unprecedented defense of their Frontier Conference regular season and tournament championships. They are the only back-to-back-to-back holders of both in conference history and the road to a 4th has at least become a little clearer as the Frontier Conference portion of next season's schedule has been released. 15 Frontier Conference games are on the schedule with the Orediggers meeting the University of Providence Argos, the University of Montana-Western Bulldogs, the Carroll College Fightin' Saints and the MSU-Northern Lights three times each. The Diggers will have the odd game at home against the Argos, the Lights and the Bulldogs.

The Montana Tech Men's Basketball team is back in action tonight and tomorrow as the Montana Tech Fall Classic tips off amid an incredibly busy weekend for Digger Athletics. The Montana Tech men will take the court tonight at 7pm at Kelvin Sampson Court against Dickenson State University in the nightcap of a doubleheader which will tip-off at 5pm with the University of Providence Argos taking on the LC State Warriors

Last year the Montana Tech Orediggers Men's Basketball team went further into the postseason than any other in program history, making it to the quarterfinal round of the NAIA national tournament. This year, the team opens the season just outside the NAIA preseason top 5 and open their new season tonight at home.

The Montana Tech Mens Basketball Team officially announced its 2023 recruiting class. All four newcomers are Montanans and many of the names are already familiar to fans of Butte High and Butte Central basketball.
