Science Mine

The Science Mine is 100% family friendly and have another exciting Family Science Night planned for this Saturday, March 22nd at their location at 36 E. Granite St., in the Sears Building. The fine folks at the Science Mine invite you to come explore the many hands-on exhibits, uncover new scientific wonders, and create unforgettable memories with your family.

This cool little ghost town just got a little bit cooler with the announcement of a new exhibit courtesy of Mary Ann Pearce and the folks at the Science Mine.

You're invited to join the Science Mine for a free, family-friendly Neon Halloween Party at 36 E. Granite Street here in Butte Friday, October 25th starting at 6pm. An enjoyable evening of glowing activities and science is promised to attendees who are encouraged to show up in costume, although costumes are not necessary to participate. Event organizers are planning a fun night of neon lights, interactive science exhibits and Halloween-themed activities and fun for all ages

The Science Mine in Butte is a non-profit, hands-on learning center serving not only Butte but all of Southwest Montana. Their mission? "To provide a family fun environment to make, learn, invent, craft, recycle, build, think, play and be inspired by celebrating arts, crafts, engineering, science, and technology in our community." They want to make science fun. They have movie screenings and family events. They dive into fun topics. Recently they had a 3D printing event, for example. And they're not just for the youngsters as they welcome kids of all ages. All you need is the desire to learn.

The Butte Elks Lodge at 240 W. Galena is going to be busy this week with everything from trivia and bingo to music and dancing with events beginning this Wednesday evening.
