Halloween is just around the corner, and what used to be a holiday for kids has turned into big business for adults.

The latest numbers show that Americans will spend over 13 billion dollars this year on Halloween. That breaks down to about 115 bucks per adult. Now, you might be thinking, well, that's for the kids and the candy, etc. Actually, no. According to the same statistics, the average person with children will spend over $600 this year.

Halloween is my 3rd favorite holiday, right after Christmas and Thanksgiving.

My wife and I have been known to dress up a few times, and when we do, we have a pretty good track record of winning the costume contest. Since my last name is Wolf, one year, I went as the Big Bad Wolf, and she went as Little Red Riding Hood.

Since I'm also fat, one year I went as Fat Bastard and she went as Austin Powers.

So, if you're an adult and looking to dress up this Halloween, you do have options.

What are popular Halloween outfits for adults?

USA Today has put together a list of some wonderful ideas for those adults looking to "get their Halloween on". Pop culture always plays a huge role in what we decide to wear, so for those couples out there, one of the most popular "couples costumes" this year is the "Travis and Taylor Engaged Version."

Yes, the Pop Princess and the Super Bowl Champ made it official, and it seems that adults everywhere are dressing up like them this year. Of course, that isn't the only pop culture phenomenon outfit. Remember that horrible lady who demanded the baseball from the kid at the Phillies game? It seems many folks are going dressed as her this year.

They are calling it the "Phillies Karen".

Oh, and for those of you looking to get a little spicy this year, there is the "Kiss Cam Couple". You remember the CEO and his work colleague who were caught kissing at the Coldplay concert while both were married to other people.

For those looking to be a little more Montana in their costumes, there is always the Duttons from Yellowstone, or you could go as a Bobcat. Of course, if you really want to scare people, you could go as a Griz Fan.
