Having a beautiful view can enhance the college experience.

Outdoorsy Colleges

Picking a college to attend can be a long process.

Some want to be close to home, others want to go far away, and a few want to go to a school that won't cost them a fortune.

One thing that can help your studies is choosing a school based on the surrounding area. Some students want to be in a city, and others would rather have views of mountains.

Enrolling at a college or university that's close to hiking, skiing, or fresh air is a bonus.

Some students don't want to look at skyscrapers, concrete, and traffic after a long day of studying or classes.

A view of sprawling forests and mountains after a test is an instant mood lifter. Who wouldn't want to see the spots where you could hike or camp that weekend? It sounds like a dream.

If you love the outdoors, what colleges should you be looking at?

We are here to help.

Montana Has Two Of The Most Outdoorsy Colleges

We are honestly surprised there isn't more on this list.

A TikToker came out with a list of the Top 10 Outdoorsy Colleges in America, and they nailed the list.

Two Montana colleges placed in the Top Five, and we can't argue with the reasons.

#4 on the list is Montana State University. MSU is nestled between sprawling mountain ranges and offers outdoor activities like fly fishing, rafting, world-class skiing, and snowboarding.

Bozeman is a tourist destination for anyone looking to connect to the outdoors, and Montana State helps promote that lifestyle to its potential students.

#3 is the University of Montana in Missoula.

This university has easy access to multiple national forests, hiking trails, and a river that runs right by campus. Plus, the school sits right at the base of a mountain you can hike daily.

Surprisingly, other Montana schools didn't make this list, but the two popular universities being in the Top Five makes sense.

What do you think is the most outdoorsy school in Montana?
