Tim Montana’s live duet video with Royale Lynn is gaining attention
Tim Montana is making waves again. This time with a... duet?
Duets in popular music are nothing new. Particularly in Country Music, duets are a big part of the game going way, way back to pioneers like George Jones and Tammy Wynette.
Anyone who was around in the early 1980s remembers Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton and "Islands in the Stream". You simply could not get away from it.
Today, it seems that duets, or "collaborations" as the popular term goes, are all the rage. One of Country's biggest stars right now is Morgan Wallen, who got a big break with his collaboration with Florida Georgia Line about a decade ago.
Today, collaborations are as common as solo releases with stars like Cody Johnson and Carrie Underwood getting together for a megahit called "I'm Gonna Love You".
Even newcomers like Koe Wetzel have gotten in on the act with genre-skipping artists like Jesse Murph.
Speaking of genre skipping, our own Tim Montana has done quiet a bit of that, particularly over the last couple of years. Tim had found success as a touring country artist and was even based out of Nashville for many years. But with his move back to Southwest Montana came a switch in musical styles, back to his hard-hitting rock and roll roots. His debut rock album "Savage" simply hit it out of the park. But adding a new twist to an already killer album, Tim was joined onstage by country newcomer Royale Lynn for a duet of his hit "Shut Me Out". The results were incredible.
What do you think of this tune as a duet? Do you love it or do you like Tim better by himself? How about the incredible Royale Lynn? What are your thoughts on her? Let us know in the comments section and if you don't have a copy of "Savage" yet, you will not be disappointed.
