
Laverne Combo tourney highlights Butte Central’s weekly sports schedule
One of Montana's biggest high school softball tournaments, the annual Laverne Combo Invitational, will bring Butte Central's regular season to a close and highlight a busy week of activity that will also involve the Maroons baseball, track & field and tennis teams. Here is a look at Butte Central's weekly activities schedule.

SOFTBALL
A very busy week lies ahead for the Maroon softball team with things starting out on Tuesday with a trip to Dillon to face the Beaverhead County Beavers. The varsity contest is set for 3pm with the JVs going at it at 5pm. This will be the final game of the year for the JVs. Butte Central's varsity team will face Hardin in their first game of the Laverne Combo Invitational Friday at 3:30pm at Stodden Park Field #2. They will then meet Frenchtown at 7pm, also at Stodden #2 in a game that will count in conference standings. On Saturday the Maroons start things out against Whitefish at noon and finish their regular season against the Browning Indians at 4pm. Again, both games will be played on Stodden Park Field #2.
BASEBALL
The Butte Central Baseball Team will be closing out their regular season as well with their final two home games of the season. Tuesday, the Maroons will host the Lone Peak Bighorns and on Thursday it will be the Townsend Bulldogs coming to town for the Senior Parent game. Both games will be at Miners Field at Three Legends Stadium, the varsity games at 3pm and the JV games at 5pm. On Friday, the Maroons close out the season against Lone Peak in Belgrade at Medina Field. The varsity game is scheduled for 2pm with the JVs to follow at 4pm.
TENNIS
The BC Tennis Team will be in Lewistown to compete in the Fergus Invitational with matches starting at 5pm.
TRACK AND FIELD
The Butte Central Track and Field Team will compete Saturday at the Park High Invitational in Livingston.
