
Combo Tourney, baseball and more on tap for Butte Central Sports
There's not much happening early this week but that will all change as we approach the weekend as Butte Central Athletics will be hosting the annual LaVerne Combo Softball Tournament with over 50 teams in town plus a bevy of road games for the baseball team and track and field as well. Here is where the Maroons will be in competition this week.
THURSDAY, MAY 14
- BASEBALL - The Maroons will play at Park High School. The varsity game is set for 2pm and the JV contest will follow at 4pm.
- TRACK & FIELD - Butte Central will compete in a triangular meet with Butte High and Dillon at East MIddle School. Events will start at 3pm.
- TENNIS - Butte Central's tennis teams will host Ronan at Stodden Park Courts. Matches are set for a 3pm start.
FRIDAY, MAY 15
- SOFTBALL - The LaVerne Combo memorial softball tournament, one of Montana's biggest, will get underway with 50 teams competing on 5 fields. Butte Central will play all of their games at Stodden Park Field #2 and will face the Sidney Eagles at 3:30pm and the Frenchtown Broncs at 7pm.
SATURDAY, MAY 16
- SOFTBALL - Play at the LaVerne Combo tourney continues today with the Maroons facing the Whitefish Bulldogs at 12:30pm and the Dawson Co. Red Devils at 4pm.
- TRACK & FIELD - Butte Central's track and field teams are headed to the Polson Invitational on Saturday with events set for a 9:30am start.
- BASEBALL - The Maroons will head to Florence for a rematch with the Falcons who were beaten by BC last week at 3 Legends Stadium. The varsity game is set for 12pm and the JV game will be played at 2pm.
