Butte Central Maroons announce weekly athletic schedule

As the fall sports season heads into the homestretch, the Butte Central Maroons have their collective eye on the post season, particularly the football team who hit the road again for a key Southwestern A contest and the volleyball team who are involved in a pair of important matches this week.  Here is where you will find the Butte Central athletic teams in action this week.

FOOTBALL

The Butte Central JV squad will get the week underway on Monday as they host the Butte Central Jamboree at Torger Oaas Field at the Maroon Activity Center.  In addition to the Maroons, the East Helena, Frenchtown and Whitehall JV squads will be in action.  On Friday, the Maroons head to Hamilton for a key Southwest A contest with playoff implications.  The Broncs are 5-1 with their lone setback coming in week 6 to the Frenchtown Broncs, 21-14.  Frenchtown beat the Maroons last week 35-7.  Kickoff is set for 7pm.

VOLLEYBALL

On Tuesday the Butte Central Volleyball Team will be hosting the Stevensville Yellowjackets at the Maroon Activity Center.  The frosh play at 4:15pm, the JVs take the court at 5:30pm and the varsity squads tip off at 7pm.  On Saturday the Maroons head to Corvallis to face the Blue Devils.  The frosh will get things underway at 12pm, the JVs will play at 1:30pm and the varsity match is set for 3pm.

CROSS COUNTRY

The Butte Central Cross Country Team gets a big tune up before State and a good look at how they will match up as they head to Hamilton on Friday for the Western A Classic. The first race is set for 2pm.
