Butte Central Maroons get Winter Sports Season Underway

Winter Sports Season kicks off this week with boys and girls basketball, swimming and wrestling getting their campaigns started.  Here is a look at where the Butte Central Maroons will be competing this week.

TUESDAY - 12/9

Basketball season starts with a pair of sub varsity contests on the schedule as the Butte Central boys and girls frosh teams will head to Livingston with the boys playing at 5pm and the girls to follow at 6:30pm.

THURSDAY - 12/11

The Maroons wrestlers will host the BC Mixer at the Maroon Activities Center with matches starting at 5pm.

FRIDAY - 12/12

The Butte Central wrestlers will head to Whitehall competing in the Whitehall Duals with matches starting at 10am.  The swim team will stay in town competing in the Butte High Invitational with time trials starting at 4pm.  The boys and girls varsity basketball teams will head to Frenchtown to compete in the Western A Tipoff Tournament.  The boys and girls will play Browning with the girls meeting at 1pm and Frenchtown Middle School and the boys game starting at 2:45pm at Frenchtown High School.  The boys and girls JV teams will head to Three Forks with the girls playing at 2:15pm and the boys tipping off at 4pm.

SATURDAY - 12/13

The Tipoff Tournament continues in Frenchtown for both BC varsity basketball programs as both will have a date with Columbia Falls.  The girls will play at 10am at Frenchtown High School and the boys will play at 11:30am at Frenchtown Middle School.  The JV hoops squads will be hosting Manhattan Christian at the MAC with the girls playing at 2:15pm and the boys to follow at 4pm.   The wrestling team will again be in Whitehall with matches starting at 10am.
