Are you ready for Friday's big fireworks show?  Every year, kids and adults in Butte look forward to this night with equal enthusiasm and with little wonder.  Butte's annual Town Pump Fireworks Show is the biggest in the state and many will argue one of the best in the country.

Butte's love for fireworks may come from the geographical location of the city.  The Big M provides a one-of-a-kind stage for a town built on a hill, providing a patriotic and colorful show.  It's almost as the entire valley becomes a giant amphitheater.

Where are you going to watch this year's show?  There are many great choices for you and your family.  Chester Steele Park just west of St. James Healthcare has been the go-to place for families for generations.  Alongside the neighboring Cinders Field, there is plenty of room for you and your family to throw down a blanket and lawn chairs and enjoy the music and festivities.

North of Chester Steele lies Park Street and the further north you go, the more congested it is going to get as you get closer to the Big M.  Many will be attending private fireworks parties and many will assemble just above Kennedy Elementary and at area baseball fields and parks.

The World Museum of Mining is a great option with special events and games for a small admission fee.  The museum is on the base of the Big M and has plenty of room to enjoy the show.

If you want to avoid the traffic and crowds, the Butte Civic Center will have the parade floats on display and can also provide a nice spot to sit down and watch the fireworks from your car.  If you want to watch the show without leaving your house at all, KXLF will be airing the fireworks after their 10pm newscast.
