Kyle Hunter Brings Montana Americana To The Covellite After The Folk Festival

For those wishing to extend their Montana Folk Festival experience way into the wee hours of the next day, The Covellite at 215 W. Broadway has late-night music this Friday, Saturday and Sunday.  Friday night's headliner is Montana native Kyle Hunter with support from Charlie Apple, two artists who are perfect for keeping the Festival spirit alive after final Festival performances of the day.

Kyle Hunter has a sound that blends Americana, alt-country, folk-rock, bluegrass and even electric twang.  Hunter's influences include Marty Robbins, The Allman Brothers Band and Bill Withers which shines through his vivid storytelling, energetic rhythms and lively stage presence.  Along with his backing band, Hunter has built a strong following across the Northwest with performances that fit comforably in theaters, at festivals and in classic roadhouse venues alike.

Sharing the bill is fellow Montanan Charlie Apple whose distinctive approach combines the narrative traditions of Outlaw Country with the immersive pulse of deep house music.  The result is a genre-crossing performance that merges familiar roots influences with contemporary electronic textures.

Organizers say the afterparty offers something for festival-goers ready to keep dancing as well as anyone simply searching for another memorable live performance at The Covellite.  With two inventive Montana artists, a welcoming Uptown venue and the momentum of the Montana Folk Festival weekend, the evening is expected to deliver plenty of late-night excitement.

The music begins at 10:30pm and the suggested donation is $10 per person.  The event is being presented by The Covellite along with generous consideration from Butte-Helena Insulation.
