Food Drive at Butte Three Bears Alaska on Wednesday
One of the wonderful things about Butte is the sense of true community and generosity that can be found practically anywhere you choose to look. Charitable organizations, groups from the Knights of Columbus to the Elks to the United Way as well as numerous other civic and church groups can be regularly found helping the less fortunate throughout Southwest Montana on any given day.
One small but growing organization is the Butte Pantry. The Butte Pantry is a "community organization where people can donate food (human and pet) and where people in need can find some relief and help through these difficult times." The Butte Pantry has put together holiday gift boxes for needy families. They have helped feed numerous families (and pets) in times of need. Presently, donations are being accepted at the Fitness Courts at 4040 Paxson and Rocky Mountain Chiropractic at 505 W. Park Street.
Aislinn Wright and Emaleigh Cimorelli are two students in the Nursing Program at Montana Tech and they are behind a citywide food drive to help stock the shelves at the Butte Pantry. Aislinn and Emaleigh are asking for donations of nonperishables this Wednesday at Three Bears Alaska at 45 Three Bears Drive in Butte. Between 10am and 2pm they are looking for canned goods and pet food as well as toiletries such as toothpaste, toilet paper and the like.
