Join The Fun At Butte's Annual Star Wars Day Celebration

A galaxy far, far away is landing in Uptown Butte this Monday.

The Covellite at 215 W. Broadway is gearing up to host its annual Star Wars Day celebration on Monday, May 4th 2026, transforming the historic venue into a full-blown hub of intergalactic fun, games, activities, food and entertainment. The all-ages event promises an evening packed with films, hands-on activities and plenty of surprises for fans of every generation.

The festivities kick off at 4pm when doors open and guest can dive straight into themed activities. Attendees will have the chance to create their own Jedi robes, participate in lightsaber workshops and enjoy coloring stations and raffles scattered throughout the venue. It's a deliberately interactive start, designed to get everyone, from young Padawans to seasoned Jedi Knights, into the spirit of the day.

At 5pm, free pizza will be served, offering an early-evening break before the cinematic portion begins. Just 15 minutes later, the action shifts to the big screen with a screening of Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith, presented in immersive 5.1 surround sound.

The energy ramps up again at 7:15pm with live lightsaber duels, giving attendees a chance to see choreographed battles up close or even, perhaps, join in on the fun. Then, at 8pm, the night continues with a showing of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, rounding out the double-feature lineup.

Organizers encourage guests to come in costume and fully embrace the theme. Whether you're there for the films, the crafts or just the community atmosphere, the message is simple: come early, stay late and celebrate May the Fourth in truy Star Wars fashion.
