Uptown Butte Christmas Stroll seeks Grand Marshal.

Are you ready for the 2023 Uptown Christmas Stroll? We know, we're still gearing up for Halloween, but planning is already well underway for one of the most popular Uptown Butte events of the year and nominations are being sought for Grand Marshal of the Children's Light Parade and Tree Lighting Ceremony. Do you know someone who has had a positive impact on Uptown Butte this year? Here's how to nominate them. The following is a press release from George Everett of Mainstreet Uptown Butte.

The 2023 Uptown Christmas Stroll is set for Friday, December 1st from 5 pm to 10 pm in Uptown Butte. Mainstreet Uptown Butte is seeking nominations for outstanding members of the business community to serve as Grand Marshal of the 2023 Children's Light Parade and Tree Lighting Ceremony. Nominees should be community-minded residents and individuals in the business community who have had a positive impact on Uptown Butte in 2023.

Anyone interested in nominating an indivudual as Grand Marshal should submit a letter that highlights the characteristics and community involvement of the nominee. Please send your nomination letter to Mainstreet Uptown Butte, P.O. Box 696, Butte, MT, 59703. Also, nominations can be emailed to geverett@montana.com. The deadline for nominations is Friday, November 17.

Also, the Children's Light Parade welcomes decorated entries, emergency vehicles, classic cars, walking entries, musical entries and others to join the parade. Entries are welcome to apply to participate in the parade by submitting a detailed vehicle/entry description to geverett@montana.com no later than November 17.
