Who’s got the best tailgate grub in Butte?

The Montana Tech Orediggers are home this weekend and the scene on campus is always crazy on gameday as the Diggers host The College of Idaho on Saturday.  Montana Tech has the best tailgate setup in the Frontier Conference and some would argue it would fit right in with bigger schools as well.  Are you going to be firing up the grill or spreading out the buffet table this Saturday?  Here are a few must-stops you should make before setting up your tailgate at Bob Green Field or even Naranche Stadium when the Bulldogs are back in town.

WESTERN MEAT AND SAUSAGE BLOCK

Western Meat and Sausage Block at 820 Dewey Boulevard needs to be at the top of your list.  If you're looking for bratwurst or sausages you will find none better and as far as burgers, you can get the meat in bulk, in patty form or even in different, delicious flavors.

JOHN'S SANDWICH SHOP

Sure, if you show up with a basket full of John's Original Pork Chop Sandwiches, you're going to have a very popular tailgate but John's on Harrison is the place if you're in a hurry and don't want a lot of cleanup with their party wings or pork nuggets.  Always a good plan.

BUTTE'S ACE HARDWARE

Okay, sure, Ace Hardware is, well, a hardware store, but you've got to get your grill and equipment somewhere, right?  Butte's Ace Hardware has possible the best selection in town.  Plus Ace has a fantastic line of accessories in the outdoor section and you will be pleasantly surprised at the variety of spices, rubs and seasonings you will find there.
