Music of Randy Travis Tuesday evening at Butte’s Mother Lode Theater
One of the biggest voices of contemporary 80's Country Music, Randy Travis, will be on hand as his band, fronted by a talented lead vocalist, will take the stage at Butte's Mother Lode Theater as "The More Life Tour" hits the Mining City on Tuesday evening, August 26th.
Randy Travis has definitely left his mark on Country Music since his debut on the Grand Ole Opry way back in 1986. Since then he has charted 23 #1 singles, sold over 25 million albums and has been a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame since 2016. He is well known for hit singles such as "Diggin' Up Bones", "He Walked On Water", and his timeless hit "Forever and Ever, Amen", which is also the title of his recent memoir chronicling not only his incredible career but his brush with death, suffering a near-fatal stroke in 2013. Since then, Travis has had a remarkable journey on his road to recovery and while he will not be singing at this show, he will be on-stage and a big part of the production.
Vocal duties will be assumed by an incredibly talented, young, soulful baritone named James Dupre who you may have seen on YouTube or his successful appearance on NBC's "The Voice".
"This tour offers fans a chance to relive the magic of Travis’s greatest hits while celebrating the future of country music with Dupré’s dynamic performances."
Tickets are available at the Mother Lode Theater box office at 316 W. Park St. from 10am until 4pm or online at www.buttearts.org. For further details, please call (406) 782-3602.
