Open auditions are on tap at the Covellite, 215 W. Broadway in Uptown Butte, as the Covellite Players prepare to launch a new season of performances in the Mining City.

Organizers are asking community members to step into the spotlight and try out for two upcoming productions, each with its own unique tone and criteria.  While specific casting needs vary between shows, the overall call is wide open:  performers of all backgrounds and experience levels are encouraged to audition.  Whether you're a seasoned stage presence or someone exploring performance for the first time, the Covellite Players say there's room for a range of creative expression.

The auditions will help shape two featured events--"The Power of Pride" and a high-energy Butte Pride Afterparty--both expected to highlight bold performances and celebrated individuality.  Due to the nature of the productions, all performers must be at least 18 years of age to participate.

According to organizers, submissions will be reviewed with flexibility, meaning performers may be considered for multiple roles or shows if they meet the necessary criteria.  The goal is to build a dynamic lineup that reflects the diversity and talent of the local arts community.

The call emphasizes more than just performance--it's about connection.  Participants are encouraged to "find your people" while contributing to a collaborative and expressive environment.

Auditions are set for April 26th from 3pm to 7pm at the Covellite and you can sign up for your space here.  Those interested are encouraged to sign up quickly as spots are expected to fill up.  For more information or to get involved in other ways, feel free to reach out via email at players@covellitepresents.org.
