Butte High-Butte Central Baseball highlights a busy local sports schedule this week
Saturday will see the Butte High Bulldogs and Butte Central Maroons face each other in baseball highlighting a busy week for both schools. Here's a look at what the Bulldogs and Maroons have on their collective sports schedules for this week:
TUESDAY, APRIL 23
Both the Butte Central baseball and Butte High softball teams will be at home, with the Maroons taking on Stevensville at 3 Legends Stadium and the Bulldogs squaring off against Missoula Big Sky at Stodden Park. Start times for both affairs will be 3pm for the varsity and 5pm for the JVs. Butte Central's softball team will be on the road at Stevensville (varsity 4pm, JV 6pm), the Butte High tennis team will be at Missoula Hellgate with matches starting at 10am and both Butte High and Butte Central's track and field teams will be competing in the Top Ten meet in Missoula.
WEDNESDAY, APRIL 24
Butte High's baseball team will head north on US 93 to take on Polson with the varsity contest at 3pm and the JV game at 5pm.
THURSDAY, APRIL 25
In track and field, Butte High will be hosting a triangular meet with Butte Central and Billings Skyview which begins at 2pm at Bulldog Memorial Stadium. The Butte High softball team will be at home taking on Great Falls at Stodden Park (varsity 3pm, JV 5pm), Butte Central will also be at home to face Park High at Stodden Park #2 (varsity 3pm, JV 5pm) and the Butte Central baseball team will be at home as well taking on Dillon at 3 Legends Stadium (varsity 3pm, JV 5pm).
FRIDAY, APRIL 26
The Butte High Baseball Team is on the road at Corvallis (varsity 3pm, JV 5pm). The Butte Central Softball Team will be competing in the Frenchtown Tournament where they will play Whitefish at 11:15am and Frenchtown at 7:30pm.
SATURDAY, APRIL 27
Butte High's Tennis Team will be hosting Sentinel and Kalispell with matches staring at 11am at Stodden Park. Butte Central's Tennis Team will be competing the Missoula Meet. In softball, it's Day 2 of the Frenchtown Tournament with Butte Central facing Browning at 11:15am and Mission at 4:30pm. Butte High Softball will be in Great Falls while the Bulldog freshmen track and field team will be at the Western AA Frosh Meet in Missoula. The Butte Central Maroons Track and Field Team will be hosting the Tomich Invitational, with the field including the Butte High Bulldogs, at Bulldog Memorial Stadium starting at 10am. It will be a busy day on the baseball diamond as well as the Butte High Bulldogs and Butte Central Maroons will face off at 3 Legends Stadium. Varsity games will be at noon and 4pm with the JVs squaring off at 2pm.
