Coming to the Forge Hotel in Anaconda, enjoy a taste of local theatre with plays derived from Montana playwrights. The artistic entourage known as the Anaconda Ensemble Theatre will host 3 new short plays in Anaconda, beginning tomorrow, February 24th at 7 p.m., this Saturday at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., and then again on Sunday with a matinee performance at 2 p.m. As part of their Montana Premiere Project, the plays will tell the tale of the Landering Truth (by Helena's Robert Holter) That's What She Said (by Helena's Cynthia Webb), and Wife (by Missoula's Shaun Gant. The Forge Hotel is located at 100 Union Avenue in Anaconda. All performances will take place on the back side of the building in the conference room near Barclay's Restaurant. Following the final show on Sunday, February 25th, audience members will have a chance to hear from the playwrights of each short play. (More about AET below) 

Professional actors and those just getting their start on stage from Anaconda, Butte, and Deer Lodge have been cast for the show's 3-day run. Due to subject matter, the show is recommended only for those 16 years of age or older. The Anaconda Ensemble Theatre is the brain child of Artistic Director Jackie Vetter and a realm of staff members and volunteers to include Adam Vauthier, Jamie Foy, Jessica Merkley, and Micheal Muro. Anaconda Ensemble Theatre is also funded by coal severance taxes paid from coal mined in Montana and deposited in Montana's Cultural and Aesthetic Projects Trust Fund.
