“Game Night” is Saturday at the Butte Elks
Sometimes a good board game can really bring a family and friends together. My mother loves the strategy game "Connect Four" and there was one Thanksgiving where she used her background as a math teacher to devise a Connect Four tournament bracket that included everyone in attendance, and I believe there were more than 20 people, and also via FaceTime was able to include my cousin's son who is serving in the Army and stationed in Hawaii at the time. There was even a consolation bracket. Not only was it the topper to a wonderful family get-together but it has to be in the running for a world record for greatest distance between participants.
While we can't guarantee any world records, we will bet that you will find a great deal of fun with your friends at the Butte Elks' Game Night on Saturday Evening, and you may even make a couple of new ones. You may even learn a new game or two. Doors open at 6pm to adults 18 years of age and older.
All types of games are welcome and there are several that you can choose from at the Elks. Board games, dice games, card games and more and if you have a favorite feel free to bring it along with you. Snacks and beverages will be available and there will be a 50/50 raffle as well.
Butte Elks Lodge #240 is located at 206 W. Galena in Historic Uptown Butte. For details on game night or even information on upcoming events, please call (406) 782-3278.
