Local Hurling Club holding Draft Tournament this September, newcomers welcome
If you've ever wanted to try a new sport, consider taking up what could possibly be the oldest field game in the world. Hurling is an Irish sport whose roots can be traced as far back as the Middle Ages and is still immensely popular on the Emerald Isle. It is similar to lacrosse and can even be compared to field hockey and even soccer. It looks like a lot of fun.
Sound like fun? Well, there happens to be a local hurling club who will not only welcome you but has made it their mission to recruit new players. They are the Butte Wolfe Tones Hurllng Club.
"At Wolfe Tones Hurling Club, we are dedicated to promoting the ancient sport of Irish Hurling. As a local non-profit, our mission is to teach and engage the community in this historic game while fostering a love for Irish culture."
