Inaugural “Prairie Palooza” Festival August 25-27 outside of Dillon
Are you ready for another festival? Well, you're getting one and this particular one looks like a lot of fun. The inaugural "Prairie Palooza" music festival is taking place at the Horse Prairie Stage Park just outside of Dillon in Grant, MT at 11800 MT-324 from August 25th to the 27th. The festival will feature performances from some well-known and some up and coming Montana bands and entertainers and will feature headlining shows from Craig Campbell and Kendall Tucker. Oh, and a few boys from Butte will be on hand as well.
Craig Campbell is touring in support of his latest double album "The Lost Files: Exhibit A" and is well known for his 2010 hit single "Family Man".
Kendall Tucker is a country rap artist who has worked with such mainstream acts as Jelly Roll and Colt Ford.
The Mining City music scene will be well-represented as Butte is sending two of her best to the festival. Chad Okrusch, who just blew the crowd away at the Montana Folk Festival a couple of weeks ago and is just about to release his second album, is on the bill. Wayne Brothers and the Nite Life Band, who have been entertaining crowds from Butte to Belt for decades, are also expected to put on a dynamite show. Other acts performing over the weekend include The Ornery Jacks, Dan Henry, Lindsey Jacobsen, Jacob Reed, Copper & Sage, Katie Hall, Tyler Potter and The Last Minute Surprise, Lance Handyside, Rob & Loli, Chidester, Morgan Seymour, Jeannie Briscoe and The Bitterroot Mountain Troubadour.
Camping is free, but it is first-come first-served. Organizers promise plenty of room. A limited number of VIP sites are available. Tickets and camping information are availalble here.
