Montana State University has added a huge out-of-state destination game against a longtime FCS rival in 2027. The game will take place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.

If the past few years are any indication, fans of the Montana State Bobcats don't hesitate to travel when it comes to supporting their beloved football team. The Bobcats have reached the FCS National Championship game in Frisco, Texas, twice in the past five years. In both games, the Bobcats were defeated by NDSU. Now, the Cats have a chance at redemption in 2027.
Vegas Bound! Montana State Will Face North Dakota State at Allegiant Stadium in 2027
According to Montana State University, the Bobcats will take on the Bison in the Vegas Kickoff Classic in 2027. The neutral-location game is slated for Labor Day weekend, with time, date, and broadcast network expected to be released soon.

The game is a huge opportunity for the Bobcats in front of a national audience. In the 2024 Vegas Kickoff Classic, USC defeated LSU 27-20 in front of 63,969 people. That number far exceeds the attendance of every single FCS National Championship game in history.
The direct flight to Las Vegas is one of the most popular at the Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport. It's also one of the most affordable. So, you can expect Allegiant Stadium to be packed with fans dressed in blue and gold.
The Montana State Bobcats will open their 2025 season with a road trip to Eugene, Oregon, to take on the Oregon Ducks on August 30. The season opener offers Montana State a chance to test its talent against one of the nation’s top programs, while giving fans an exciting start to the season.
