How Local Rock Music Supports Mental Wellness In Montana

Rock Music, community and mental wellness will take center stage Saturday, September 5th, when RockTop Nation hosts its annual Rock the Pit concert at The Covellite, 215 W. Broadway in Historic Uptown Butte..

The free event opens the doors at 5pm with music beginning at 6pm. Suggested donations are welcome, with proceeds helping support an effort to put musical instruments and lessons into the hands of children across Montana.

The evening promises a full slate of live rock music and plenty of opportunities for fans to come together and support a cause that goes beyond the stage.

RockTop Nation has built its mission around the connection between rock music and mental wellness. Through concerts, community gatherings, open conversations and shared experiences, the organization works to create an environment where people can connect, express themselves and find support through music.

That message is at the heart of Rock the Pit. Organizers see the concert as more than simply a night of live, local music. It also is seen as an opportunity to recognize the role music can play in building connections, opening conversations and helping people feel less alone.

For attendees, the formula is pretty simple--bring some friends, listen to local bands and contribute if you can. Donations will help provide young people across Montana with access to instruments and music lessons.

With six bands on the bill and admission free, Rock the Pit is an easy way to spend a Saturday Night while supporting music education and community connections.
