GREAT FALLS, MT - Hayden Diekhans had 23 points and 11 rebounds, and the top-seeded Montana Tech Mens Basketball Team turned a 4-point halftime lead into a 19-point blowout of the second-seeded University of Providence Argos in the championship game of the 2025 Frontier Conference Basketball Tournament which wrapped up at the Pacific Steel and Recycling Four Seasons Arena on Tuesday evening.  The win is the fourth straight tournament title for Montana Tech who also won the regular-season title for the fourth straight year.

The Orediggers led by as many as 26 points 4 different times in the second half and outrebounded the Argos by 11.  Hayden Diekhans again was a workhorse for the Orediggers, logging 38 minutes played and was joined in double-digits in scoring by Michael Ure with 15 and Karson Peffer adding 11 for the Orediggers.  Diekhans also added a steal and an assist to his impressive stat line.  Forward Ifeyani Okeke had another solid performance with 8 points and 6 rebounds, while guards Keeley Bake and Levi Torgerson put in 5 points apiece.  The University of Providence was led in scoring by guard Antoine Boyd, Jr. and forward Quinn Swanson who had 5 points apiece for the Argos.

Montana Tech will advance to the NAIA National Tournament which will feature a 64-team field and will play the first and second rounds at 16 different locations across the country.  The first 12 host sites were announced last week, and Butte was not one of the chosen sites.  The final 4 sites along with first-round pairings will be announced on Thursday by the NAIA.  The final 64-team field and bracket will be announced on Thursday, March 6 at 7:00 p.m. CT on the NAIA Network.

Each First and Second Round site will feature four teams, and they will play single elimination on Friday and Saturday, March 14-15. The winner of the final game will advance to the NAIA National Championship Final Site in Kansas City, Mo.
