Temple Grandin to Keynote “Putting It All Together” Conference in Butte, October 22-24
The Putting It All Together Conference will be held in Butte October 22nd through the 24th with the goal of helping families of those with developmental disabilities find the help and support that they need. Many families have questions and don't know where to turn. This conference is their key to finding services, how the services are provided and how to help their loved one live their best life in the least restrictive environment possible. The conference is not only open to families but to stakeholders, professionals in the field and any interested parties who wish to get answers to their questions and gain greater knowledge about the service delivery system and initiatives including recent legislative action.
The following is a press release from the Montana Council on Developmental Disabilities:
The Montana Council on Developmental Disabilities is pleased to announce that renowned author, scientist, and autism advocate Temple Grandin will keynote the "Putting It All Together" conference in Butte, Montana, October 22nd to 24th. To maximize the reach of Temple’s message and make it accessible to a wider audience, the Council has waived all registration and admission fees for the conference and Temple evening presentation, "An Evening with Temple Grandin - The World Needs All Kinds of Minds," October 22nd at the Butte Civic Center.
Joining Temple as a keynoter is Grammy-winning artist Darryl J. Williams, who has inspired countless individuals through his music, and his anti-bullying campaign. His Fellowship Mass Choir has toured extensively, promoting hope and positivity, and his life's work exemplifies the transformative power of music.
"We are delighted to bring together two exceptional individuals who will share their experiences. We know effective advocacy depends on accurate information, the goal of this conference is to provide that accurate information." said Deborah Swingley, Executive Director of the Montana Council on Developmental Disabilities.
The conference is expected to draw attendees from across Montana and surrounding states. Registration is free, and early registration is strongly recommended. Please visit https://puttingitalltogetherconference.org to register and reserve your hotel.
