The free, hands-on event invites youth and families to the experience the adventure, skills, leadership opportunities, and friendships that Scouting offers while providing a fun morning of outdoor challenges and teamwork.

Participants will rotate through five interactive challenge stations, including:

  • Nature

Activities are adapted for different ages and abilities, making the experience engaging for everyone from kindergarteners to high school students.

The event is open to all area youth, not just current Scouts. Families can learn more about local Scouting programs while experiencing many of the skills and activities that make Scouting one of the nation's premier youth development programs.

"Young people today need places where they can belong, be challenged, and discover what they're capable of,” said Jory Dellinger, Scout Executive and CEO of Montana Council, Scouting America. “Through Scouting, youth build resilience, confidence, leadership skills, and lasting connections with peers and caring adult mentors.”

Building Stronger Youth and Stronger Communities

Scouting helps young people develop confidence, character, leadership, resilience, and a sense of service through hands-on experiences, outdoor adventure, teamwork, community service, and mentorship. These experiences give youth opportunities to practice problem-solving, communication, goal setting, and personal responsibility while building meaningful relationships with peers and caring adults.

Adults Invited to Learn About Volunteer Opportunities

Adults interested in making a positive impact on local youth are also encouraged to attend and learn about volunteer opportunities with Scouting America. Volunteers serve in a variety of roles, from organizing activities and events to mentoring youth and supporting local units. Whether you have outdoor experience or simply want to help young people succeed, there is a place for you in Scouting.
