Harrington Bottling Company Names Special Olympics Montana a “Montana’s Treasure”
We were just talking yesterday about the Special Olympics Montana State Basketball Tournament that is coming to the Mining City November 12th through the 14th and the estimated 1,000 volunteers that are going to be needed to pull it off. All I have to say about that is that if there is one city in Montana, heck, one city in America that will pull this off it is Butte, Montana. I will confidently say that not only will Butte pull it off, Butte will do it better than anyone.
Not only does Butte have the best basketball officials, coaches, team managers, administrators and workers all ready to go, but Butte also has local sponsors like Harrington Bottling Company who proudly put their name and funds behind so, so many different teams, projects and events that make our city special. There is no group more special, though, than our Special Olympians who were honored last week by Harrington Bottling Company as their first "Montana's Treasure" honor.
Here is what they said in a release:
Special Olympics Montana was selected as Harrington’s first Montana’s Treasure for the way its athletes, families, coaches and volunteers create opportunities, celebrate what people can do and help make sure everyone has a place to belong. Their work reflects the kind of community spirit and connection that Montana’s Treasures is about.
“Special Olympics Montana is a wonderful example of what it means to show up, bring people together and make a positive difference. We’re honored to recognize them as our very first Montana’s Treasure and excited to see where this journey takes us.”
-Joe McClafferty, President, Harrington Bottling Company
