Free Carousel Rides for Kids this Sunday at Stodden Park
One of the great things about living in and around Butte, Montana this time of year is the abundance of activities that are available around St. Patrick's Day, not just for revelers but for kids and families as well. We talked earlier about the Butte Cares St. Patrick's Day Color Run
that is taking place on St. Patrick's Day at Stodden Park and now there's something else that will be a lot of fun at Stodden happening just a few days earlier.
The Men and Women's Divisions of Butte's Ancient Order of Hibernians are offering free carousel rides for children this Sunday, March 15th from noon until 6pm at the Spirit of Columbia Gardens Carousel located on the grounds of Stodden Park in Butte. They will also make sure that attendees get their share of free "green popcorn" and Irish Music that will be enjoyed throughout the afternoon.
If you have not been to the Spirit of Columbia Gardens Carousel, this is a great chance to take your family and experience of of the jewels of Southwest Montana. It's a great place not just for the carousel rides but for picnics and family gatherings. It's also a nod to the former Columbia Gardens with a few salvaged artifacts and a bunch of mementos from the old amusement park and plenty of history alongside a fantastic gift shop.
Make plans to attend and if you would like any further details or information please contact our friend Joe Lee of the Ancient Order of Hibernians thelees@bresnan.net.
