Without being alarmed, please read carefully and diligently. Truth be told? Sweeney Todd, the Demon Barber of Fleet Street is alive and well and right in a  modern day backyard! How could this be, right? I mean, we know from his past that his "revenge pleasure" was slashing the throats of his victims, then disposing of their bodies by way of meat pies. Imagine the poor soul along the way who merely thought they were visiting his shop for a close shave and good conversation. Tsk Tsk. Century old murderers. No manners, am I right? NOW in this day and age, these poor manners seem to continue, and once again, without a conscience, and most disturbing of all?...in a Montana prison town!

Alright, hoaxing it up maybe WAY too much, so time to CUT to the chase. Hmm, CUT... See what I did there? No worries. Nobody is getting cut, other than the fine performers at Cutler Brothers Theater in Deer Lodge, during their production of Sweeney Todd, The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, happening every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, now through August 14th! According to the unsettling String of Pearls chronicles of 1846, Sweeney Todd was first recognized as a fictional character of this penny dreadful serial. Via Fandom, the story is based on the book by Hugh Wheeler, and as time went on, Stephen Sondheim produced the successful Sweeney Todd Broadway musical in 1979. By 2007, Johnny Depp starred as Sweeney himself, opposite Helena Bonham Carter, who played Mrs. Lovett for the screen adaption of the distorted tale.
