Tim Montana to perform National Anthem at Sunday’s Steelers Game
I think in my last article I mentioned the incredible week that Tim Montana is having. Thankfully I didn't say anything like "he'll never top this one". Because I have seen what Tim Montana is capable of. Or at least I thought I did. But even by Tim Montana's standards, this one is big.
As you read earlier this week, Tim is opening for legendary 90s rockers Creed September 30th in Bridgeport, Connecticut on their "Summer of '99" tour which has been selling out arenas and amphitheaters across the country over the past several months.
In the interim, the folks at the Mother Lode Theater in Butte have announced that Tim Montana and the Shrednecks will perform on the big stage November 22nd as part of the "Montana Made Music Series" which will also feature separate performances by Pinky and the Floyd as well as a special holiday show from Rob Quist and Great Northern featuring Halliday Quist.
Sure, getting the gig as the opener on a massive North American tour and then headlining a hometown concert in a beautiful theater is hard to top. But this one just might do it.
Right? Performing the National Anthem is an honor on any level, but at an NFL game? Next level. Tim is no stranger doing this particular number on a big stage as a few years back he sang the Star-Spangled Banner at Boston's Fenway Park before a Red Sox game, but this Sunday's game between the Steelers and the Chargers is not only an NFL game but is scheduled to be the main afternoon game on CBS for most of the country.
Again, congratulations Tim. We won't even take a guess at what you'll do next.
