Excitement is building in Melrose, not just because floating season is in full swing, but because one of Montana's most popular and recognized restaurants, The Hitchin' Post, is holding the Grand Opening of it's new casino on Saturday.

Proprietor Ken Haines who along with his wife, Bonnie, have never been shy about new construction or new business ventures and with the opening of "The Tipsy Pig" casino they are doing a little bit of both.  Just a few years ago they expanded their outdoor seating area to include an impressive covered stage area for frequent live music and now they have expanded their gaming area inside into a casino that is expected to rival others in Southwest Montana.

Now the biggest casino in the valley, The Tipsy Pig and the Hitchin' Post will be celebrating on Saturday with great food, live music and some pretty impressive drawings for those who register for the Tipsy Pig Player's Club which is exclusive to the casino.  Starting at 9am, those who register will be given a free t-shirt while supplies last and have their name entered into a drawing for a new grill or a guided float trip on the river.  Existing members need only stop by to be entered.  The drawing will take place around 6:30pm and will be followed by live music with High Ore Road who will play on the outdoor stage from 7pm to 10pm.
