But what about actors that Montana has produced? Here are a few that you may not have known were born right here in Big Sky County.
JESSE TYLER FERGUSON
A successful television actor, Jesse Tyler Ferguson was nominated for five Prime Time Emmys for his portrayal of Mitchell Prichett on ABC's "Modern Family" where he was a cast member from 2009 to 2020. He was born in 1975 in Missoula.
DANA CARVEY
Best known for his Saturday Night Live characters such as Hans from "Hans and Franz", The Church Lady, Garth Algar from "Wayne's World" and his uncanny impersonation of George W. Bush, Dana Carvey also spent the very early part of his life in Missoula where he was born in 1955.
PATRICK DUFFY
Patrick Duffy rose to international stardom for his portrayal of Bobby Ewing on the primetime soap opera "Dallas" from 1978-1991. Duffy was born on St. Patrick's Day of 1949 in Townsend.
DIRK BENEDICT
Dirk Benedict became famous as a result of his roles on Hawaii Five-0, The "A" Team and for his role as Lieutenant Starbuck in both the film and television versions of "Battlestar Galactica". Benedict was born March 1,1945 in Helena.
