Winter storm and hazardous conditions wipe out local high school activities schedule.

The winter storm that has sent much of Montana's temperatures well below zero since last night is expected to last for the next several days and school administrators have decided that is not a good enough reason to put our kids on icy roads this weekend.  Events, including tonight's Butte High basketball doubleheader against Glacier High and tomorrow's doubleheader against Flathead High as well as tomorrow's Butte Central doubleheader against Hamilton have been postponed and/or rescheduled.

While the Bulldogs are adjusting their January activities schedule, here is what we got from Butte Central:
• Sub-Varsity Basketball at Deer Lodge on Friday, January 12th has been postponed. Both schools will work on getting these games rescheduled.
• Speech & Debate at Butte High this weekend has been cancelled
• Wrestling will not travel to the John Fisher Meet in Missoula on Saturday, January 13th.
• Basketball vs Hamilton on Saturday, January 13th has been postponed. All games have been rescheduled for Saturday, February 3rd in Butte.

o 1:00 pm - Frosh GBB at MAC
o 2:30 pm - JV BBB at Butte Civic Center
o 2:30 pm - JV GBB at MAC
o 4:00 pm - Varsity GBB at MAC
o 5:30 pm - Varsity BBB at MAC
• Basketball vs Frenchtown that was originally scheduled for Saturday, February 3rd has been moved to Thursday, February 1st in Butte.
o 3:00 pm - Frosh GBB at TBD
o 3:00 pm - Frosh BBB at MAC
o 4:30 pm - JV GBB at TBD
o 4:30 pm - JV BBB at MAC
o 6:00 pm - Varsity BBB at MAC
o 7:30 pm - Varsity GBB at MAC
