Experience The Emotional Journey Of Survival In BROWN
A powerful, timely film is coming to The Covellite as Covellite Presents screens BROWN this Saturday, February 28th.
BROWN tells a powerful story of an immigrant trying to build a life in a small Montana mountain town while being pursued by Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Against a backdrop where outsiders are often told they don't belong, the film follows his struggle to survive while forming meaningful, and at times unexpected, connections. Among them are a young orphan girl he promises to protect and a woman who falls in love with him complicating and already precarious existence.
Rather than focusing on political rhetoric, BROWN zeroes in on the human dimension of the immigration debate, exploring the daily choices, sacrifices and relationships that define life under constant uncertainty. With a stark and intimate storytelling style, the film invites viewers to confront larger questions about fear, belonging, and what it means to survive in modern America.
The film is directed by Raj Amit Kumar whose previous work includes the critically acclaimed Unfreedom. Kumar is known for tackling challenging social issues head-on and BROWN continues that tradition with a narrative designed to spark conversation long after the credits roll.
For local audiences, the screening offers a unique opportunity to engage with a story that resonates not only on a national level but within Montana's own communities as well. Organizers recommend purchasing tickets in advance as interest is expected to be strong for this though-provoking evening at The Covellite.
The film begins at 7:30pm. Advance tickets are available here.
