A vibrant celebration of culture, movement and music is set to take center stage in Butte this weekend as Afrique en Cirque arrives at the Mother Lode Theater on Saturday, April 11th.

Created by Yamoussa Bangoura, the production draws inspiration from everyday life in Guinea, offering audience a glimpse into the energy, resilience and creativity of African youth.  More than just a performance, Afrique en Cirque blends storytelling with high-intensity acrobatics and live music to create an immersive theatrical experience.

The show features a troupe of highly-skilled performers executing gravity-defying stunts, including breathtaking flips, balancing acts and intricate human pyramids.  Each movement reflects both precision and passion, highlighting the strength and agility that are central to the production's theme.

Accompanying the action on stage is a powerful live soundtrack rooted in Afro-jazz, traditional percussion, and the melodic sounds of the kora, a West African stringed instrument.  The music doesn't just support the performance--it drives it, adding rhythm and emotional depth that will keep the Mother Lode audience engaged from start to finish.

Produced by Kalabante productions, Afrique en Cirque has earned praise for its colorful presentation and infectious energy.  From the costumes to the choreography, every detail is designed to celebrate the richness of African culture while connecting with audiences of all backgrounds.

Organizers say attendees should expect a show that's both visually stunning and emotionally uplifting--one that captures the joy and vibrancy of life through movement and sound.

Showtime is set for 7pm and tickets are available now at the Mother Lode Theater box office at 314 W. Park Street or online at buttearts.org.  Special room rates for Mother Lode patrons are also available.

For those looking for a unique and high-energy night out, this performance promises an unforgettable journey.
