Montana High School All-Star Game set for August 16th in Butte
If you are a fan of baseball in Butte and want to see one more competitive high school game here in town, you're in luck. Heck if you're a fan of high school baseball anywhere in the state, there's a game coming up that you need to know about. 3 Legends Field at Copper Mountain Park will be the site of the inaugural Montana High School All Star Baseball Game on Saturday, August 16th and in addition to being an entertaining contest, it will raise money for kids in need. Here's what we gathered from Mr. Brandon Scown, one of the game's organizers.
"The Montana High School All Star Baseball Game is a registered non profit in the State of Montana with a simple mission, raise funds for children’s hospitals by holding an All Star Baseball Game for graduating high school seniors. The game will be held annually with the location to be determined each year. The inaugural game will be held in Butte, Montana on August 16th, 2025 at 3 Legends Stadium. Game time is 4pm. Gates opening at 2:30 with pregame celebrations. The environment is sure to be electric and the competition level high," Scown told us.
The idea started as a conversation on the side of a hill between 2 friends talking baseball. Through hard work and the effort of a dedicated Board of Directors, the game has become a reality.
Scown added, "graduated high school ball players have filled both rosters and are excited to take to the diamond of Miners Field at 3 Legends Stadium for an opportunity to showcase their skills and represent their respective high schools in one last game on the sandlot. Proceeds from the game will benefit a children’s hospital in the northwest US."
Please consider donating to a great cause and coming out to enjoy 9 innings of showcase baseball this August!
