Grace Underwood Benefit Saturday at Butte Depot
You are invited to join friends and family of Grace Underwood this Saturday at the Butte Depot for a fun afternoon of music, games, food and laughter as the Mining City once again comes together to raise money for a vibrant, young Butte High School sophomore who has been courageously battling Ewing Sarcoma.
Ewing Sarcoma is a rare form of childhood cancer that affects the bones and soft tissue around the bones. Grace received this grim diagnosis a few months ago and has since been fighting the disease with the strength and heart of a champion. Grace is currently undergoing radiation treatment and chemotherapy in Salt Lake City, a place that has become all too familiar to the family.
Grace's parents, Ryan Underwood and Tracy Miller, are battling a mountain of medical bills and travel expenses in addition to the challenge of Grace's fight. You would be helping this young family by simply attending Saturday's gathering which will start at 3pm. Live entertainment will be provided by the Berkeley Pits and a wonderful chicken and spaghetti dinner donated by Mike Thatcher and the folks at Community, Counseling and Corrections, Inc. Live and silent auctions will be held as well as a Dutch Auction and a 50/50 raffle and other activities throughout the afternoon and early evening.
