Meg Murphy’s Connecting for the Cancer Cure events this weekend at Uno’s Lounge with John Montoya, High Ore Road
Meg Murphy is a Hall of Famer winning championship titles in more or less every sport that she was a part of be it as a player or a coach. But if there ever is a Hall of Fame for folks who take care of others, Murphy would be a charter member, you can bet on it. This weekend is the 18th Annual "Connect for the Cancer Cure" event that Murphy has spearheaded and big things are planned this year as the event looks to add to the hundreds of thousands of dollars that it has raised for cancer research and care right here in Butte. Nearly a quarter of a million dollars so far which has gone towards incredible things.
- They have created the first ever Cancer Center Endowed Fund at St. James.
- They have created a consultation room for patients' privacy
- They have helped kickstart Southwest Montana's only lymphedra program, helping bring mobile mammography to our area.
- They have helped countless cancer patients in their time of need.
Connecting for the Cancer Cure has 2 events along with 2 big afterparties starting with Friday's Cornhole Tournament which will be taking place at Uno's Lounge, next door to Wendy's, at 3235 Harrison Avenue.
