The Butte Central Maroons activities schedule for the week gets underway Tuesday and after recent performances, the Maroons presumably can't wait to get back on the hardwood.  Wrestling and Speech & Debate are also in action.

BASKETBALL - On the boys side, Butte Central matched their second-highest point output of the season while allowing their fewest in a 74-19 rout of Stevensville at home last Saturday while the girls were on the road getting their first win of the year at Stevensviile, 34-29.  Tuesday it's another pair of conference contests with both teams on the road at Frenchtown.  The Frenchtown boys have been picked by many to win the Class A title this march and rolled to a 6-0 start before dropping 2 of their last 3 games with losses coming to Columbia Falls and Dillon.  The Frenchtown girls, also a State A favorite, rolled to an 8-0 record before dropping their last contest on the road 52-42 to Dillon.  The girls varsity contest tips off at 6pm followed by the boys at 7:30.

On Friday, the Maroons subvarsity programs will be in Deer Lodge with the girls playing at 3:30pm and the boys at 5pm.  Saturday, the full program will be in action at home against the Hamilton Broncs.  On the boys side, the frosh and JV games will be at Kelvin Sampson Court on the campus of Montana Tech and will tip off at 1pm and 2;30pm, respectively.  The Hamilton boys are another State A contender and come into the contest at a perfect 9-0.  The boys game will tip off at 5:30pm at the Maroon Activities Center.  All girls games will be at the MAC with the frosh at 1pm, the JVs at 2:30pm and the varsity contest at 4pm.  The Hamilton Broncs girls are 5-4 on the season.

WRESTLING - The Maroon wrestlers are in action tomorrow at the Powell Co. Mixer and will compete at the John Fisher Invite in Missoula on Saturday

SPEECH AND DEBATE - The Butte Central Speech & Debate team will be taking part in the Butte High School Invitational this Friday and Saturday.
