Last week the Butte Central softball team nearly broke into the win column in a big way, nearly beating the championship-quality Dillon Beavers and the baseball team came within a run of their first two-game winning streak in program history. Although both squads eventually lost their contests, confidence is growing, and spirits remain high as busy activities week lies ahead. Here is where you will find the Maroons in action this week.

What is setting this program apart is their dedication to the team and their desire to hang another state championship banner to the walls of the Maroon Activities Center. Such goals do not come without mastering the basics and practice of the fundamentals, like simply putting the ball in the hoop. At halftime of last Tuesday's boys' game against East Helena, Coach Quinn Peoples honored 27 BC girls who have put the ball in the hoop 10,000 or more times.
